Wei Liang

Wei Liang is a Graduate Instructor and Ph.D. candidate in Building Performance & Diagnostics at Carnegie Mellon Architecture. His thesis topic is indoor environmental quality (IEQ) assessments using robotic systems. His research includes deploying mobile sensing platforms for IEQ physical measurements, post-occupancy evaluations using social robots, and exploring the spatial distribution of IEQ with simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) implementations.

Wei received his Bachelor of Science in Acoustics at Nanjing University in 2012 and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Merced in 2014. Before joining CMU, he worked as a mechanical engineer and energy modeler for four years in the healthcare, life science and higher education sectors.
