Valentina Vavasis

Valentina Vavasis is Special Faculty at Carnegie Mellon Architecture. She has the unique perspective of a professional with a combined background in architecture and real estate finance. She worked in commercial real estate on behalf of both for-profit and nonprofit institutions for over 25 years. Valentina has also had her own consulting practice for over 10 years, in which she assists clients with a variety of real estate issues including long-range planning, project management and financial analysis. Valentina has experience completing small-scale property rehabilitation projects and has a particular interest in community development.

Valentina holds a B.A. in Architecture from Princeton University and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with concentrations in real estate and finance. She also holds a culinary school degree from the Pittsburgh Institute of Culinary Arts and was an anonymous food critic for Pittsburgh Magazine for five years, with several nominations for Golden Quill awards by the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania.
