The MAAD (CMU-PUM) research video "Free-Oriented Additive Manufacturing" was accepted to the 2018 Association for Robotics in Architecture Conference (Rob|Arch) call for videos and presented at the conference at the ETH in Zurich this past week. This video depicts a novel additive manufacturing application of fused deposition modeling on varying spatial conditions, deposition direction, and geometry to adapt to complex infrastructure conditions.
The SoA's B.Arch program achieved a ranking of #11 overall in the 2018-19 DesignIntelligence Survey of Architecture Schools, and placed top-ten in 9 of 12 focus areas. Professor & Head Stephen Lee was also named one of the 25 Most Admired Educators this year.

SoA, in partnership with the Department of Architecture and Design of Politecnico di Torino, partner to present the Re-Industry seminar 10 May 2017. The seminar will investigate the impact of industrial production on cities from an architectural and urban design perspective.
