Copy + Paste Studio Final Reviews
3 MAY 2018 | 5:30–7:30pm
HALL OF ARCHITECTURE
Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture students present their final projects from the studio Low-Relief, part of the experimental exhibition Copy + Paste: Hall of Architecture. Three groups will display their final models, provide a short presentation, and respond to questions from critics and the audience. Stick around for additional discussion and a celebratory reception for an outstanding semester of working on-view in the museum galleries.
Throughout the semester students have explored the history of plaster, robotic techniques using plaster, and the way architecture can play tricks on the viewer.
What do architecture and virtual reality have to do with each other?
How can robotics play a role in learning about architecture from the past?
Can architects use digital tools to generate new ideas in the design process?
