About the Program
A special training is being offered for CMU staff, faculty, and students called Mental Health First Aid. This 8-hour instructional course is a public education program that introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental illnesses, builds understanding of their impact, overviews common supports and identifies ways that an individual can help someone in need. This training is conducted by two CMU staff members, one from Counseling and Psychological Services (CaPS), and one from University Health Services. The training is offered free of charge.
For more information or to register please visit: http://www.cmu.edu/health-services/health-promotion/index.html. Please note that this training is offered approximately once per month during the academic year and once over the summer. Registration opens approximately one month prior to the event, so please keep checking back for one that fits your schedule.
