People • Building • Pittsburgh, will feature leading figures involved in thinking about the challenges of shaping the city and campus to meet the needs of the new millennium. The University of Pittsburgh and Oakland neighborhood are central to the emerging vision of Pittsburgh’s place in the global innovation economy; decisions being made today will shape our direction for years to come. 

The speakers include:

- William Peduto, Mayor of Pittsburgh
- Ray Gastil, Director of City Planning
- Christine Mondor, principal of evolveEA
- Sean Luther, executive director of InnovatePGH
- Daniel Colvard, project architect at GBBN Architects / EDGE Studio
- Adam Gross, principle of Ayers Saint Gross (Baltimore) – who will outline the new master plan for the Pitt campus

The symposium is sponsored by the Pitt Alumni Association and will include a complimentary lunch in the Cloister. All CMU architecture faculty and students are welcome to attend.
